Laundry Room Accessories
In order to have an efficient laundry room you need to have the right accessories. With these accessories you will keep everything neat and organized and will have all the things you need to wash, dry, and iron all of the clothes for you and your family. The great thing is that you can get these without having to spend a fortune.
Drying Rack
I hate it when I buy a nice top or pant suit and have to dry clean it. Sure it comes back looking great and smelling sweet – but I don’t always have the time to drop it off or pick it back up in a reasonable amount of time. Rather than having to worry about what to do with these clothes why not save money and time by doing them yourself. Because they cannot be machine dried you will need to purchase a drying rack.
There are two types that you can buy. The collapsible drying rack stands up and has different levels, allowing you to dry several pieces at one time. This will cost you between $10 to $30. Your second option is to purchase a drying rack that is installed onto the wall. It pulls out and allows you to hang the clothes like you would on a clothes line. You can also install this outside so that your clothes dry faster. This costs between $10 to $50.
Clothes Hamper
Trying to do laundry without a clothes hamper is hard and usually leaves the whole space in disarray. Clothes hampers help to separate the colors, white, and darks from each other. For $40 you can buy one that has two or three different hampers stacked side by side in a metal frame. This makes putting in loads quicker and without the hassle of sorting.
Iron And Ironing Board
Ironing is a job that none of us like – but it is hard to get around. It is one of the most essential tools to have in the laundry apart from the washer and dryer. For $10 you can purchase the large fold out board. This allows you to do large pieces faster and it stores away in the corner. For $30 you can purchase an iron that is easy to use and works great for years.
Spend an extra $10 and you can get yourself a storage holder for both the board and the iron. This holder will allow you to hang the medium to small sized board on the back of the laundry room door. Above it is a small, enclosed space for the iron.
